Firstly I would like to introduce myself, my name is Michelle Clark and I was sold an apartment in 2005 by Roger and Elaine Stead.

After speaking with a colleague of mine, I told him I was thinking about investing in a property, something that would benefit me in my later days.

He put me in touch with a website called Abacasa - and that was the start of my journey.

 

I like many others have watched all the programmes on TV about dodgy property sellers and buying land that could be taken from you or built on land that the builders don’t own, so I was as cynical as the next person.

I have little patience for time-waster and I have a dislike for sales reps. 

 

After going on line and looking at the website my colleague recommended, I sent and email and Elaine contacted me to see if I wanted to meet up, she had a number of properties that she thought I might be interested in after reading my spec.

My friend made a call and I was booked on a flight and staying at her apartment. A few days later my mum and I were on a flight.

 I love the sun and could wait to chill out in Spain. I had arranged to see a couple of agents whilst I was in Spain including Elaine and Roger but wasn’t really taking the situation seriously, I thought for the amount of money I was willing to spend, I would get some place poky or nothing at all. I never expected to really buy there it was just a pipe dream.

 

Anyway two days later I had placed a deposit on a beautiful 2-bed apartment in Loma Del Golf and I am the luckiest person alive.

Elaine and Roger did not pressure me at all, infact I felt completely at ease with them both.

After falling in love with the apartment, which may I add was fully furnished and lots more, I was given a full agenda of the next steps to securing the property, from Roger and Elaine.

The agenda had everything on it, numbers, names, costs each step of the way including contingency costs, which I never used but was there is the rate of exchange changed and details of what would happen and when.

I was introduced to a Solicitor and all the people in the supply chain were just as friendly and helpful as Roger and Elaine, there was a great trust and rapport amongst the people involved in helping me buy the apartment. I was even given numbers of trusted key-holders.

 

After two years of enjoying my apartment, I still can not believe how easy it was, every time I see a programme about Spanish properties on the TV, I laugh, it was so different for me, Roger and Elaine made it all so stress less and hassle free.

 

I invited my friend Toni to come to my apartment, when I was about to get the keys and she could not believe how much I had paid and what I received for the money. She was so jealous; she couldn’t stop talking about it.

Elaine let us look at a similar property two doors down from mine and yes you’ve guessed it Toni and her husband brought that.

 

We own apartments at Calle de Cerezos, next to stables, a plaza, near the beach and have access to ten pools.

All the residents abide by the regulations and take an interest in its surroundings. I never thought I would buy a place abroad, I used to tell people I liked going to different countries. I have no regrets - it is a real asset.

 

There is nothing better than sitting on your own veranda at night and sipping a bottle of Liria wine for 70 cents (£3.99 in England) with nothing but your heartbeat for noise.

 

My whole family have enjoyed the apartment and its location, right in the heart of everything; it is fantastic for couples and my nieces and nephews.

If you ever get a chance to buy an apartment from Roger and Elaine then believe me do it, especially in or around Villamartin, you won’t be sorry – honest.

 

Elaine and Roger must be the most hardworking, genuine, dedicated agents I have ever met; they go out of their way to assist you in every detail - from the initial thought of buying a place to being at the end of a phone years later.
